Cooking in Grandma's Kitchen
with Unscripted Sketches #130

Did you see my "STEAMPUNK" post yesterday? It was fun to play with a different genre than what I am usually doing, and I got to rummage around all my crafty junk and play!

So here is my regulary scheduled {one day late} Sketch it Saturday with Unscripted Sketches post! Using sketch #130, I started with some BoBunny scraps out of the bottomless scrap bag. I really thought I would be using up this stuff faster than I am. I knew exactly what I was going to use when I saw this sketch...my Viva Las Vegastamp Blender #1571 stamp. I stamped it on white and then again on blue cardstock. I cut them out and paper pieced it back together, in a retro color style. Then I colored in accents to give it dimensions with my Marvy markers and water brush. I really like the effect of the water brush opposed to the blender pen. I layered it onto a BoBunny square patterned paper, then double matted circles placed on top of a paper doily. This came out so beautifully - just like in Grandma's kitchen.

Have you seen the leaf and pumpkin shaped paper doilies at the Dollar Tree? I haven't figured out what to use those for yet.

Here's this weeks sketch so you can play along...

What is Sketch it Saturdays at Unscripted Sketches? Every Saturday morning a new sketch is posted for the week. Flip the sketch, rotate it… create a card, a scrapbook page, a wall hanging, digital, paper, fabric, paint, anything your imagination comes up with! There is no right or wrong way, as long as you are using the Unscripted sketch as the inspiration for your creation! And everyone is invited to join in the fun...and post your creation on their page for all the world to see!

On Halloween - I will be featured on the Viva Las Vegastamps blog so please check it out. Gearing up for three craft shows coming up in November. It's only one week to go until Craft Carnival in Miami!!! If you need handmade holiday ornaments for gifts - please let me know.
