Today I am throwing my hat in the ring to reapply to the Viva Las Vegastamps! Design Team! So I'm sharing some of my favorite stamped projects that I think best represent me and my style.
I have always dabbled in stamping but it wasn't until my "Altered Diva" friend Marianne Merola invited me to join her group "Snobby, Stuck-Up Stampers", that I really began utilizing all the stamps that I had been hoarding. I thought it was so hilarious to be part of a group of "SERIOUS" stampers. I didn't consider myself a stamper - and it really propelled me to work even harder. Some of my best work went to the ladies in this group for our monthly one-for-one card swaps, and we had some fabulous themes. This was one for the theme "All About Me".
This would be my world without rubber stamps!
Rubber stamps are the CHAMELEON of my mixed media toolbox. In my "Self Portrait - Caution: Artist at Work" tag and my "First Snow" ATC above, stamped images are the accents to my photographic image transfers. Stamps can provide texture, pattern and even words...or even that touch of whimsy.
I love the versatility of stamps. You can take a blank piece of paper and create something from nothing. This Father's Day card is a combination of stamped images on a patterned paper card base.
This card is a faux pile of mail using several stamps
and repurposing some sections of actual mail.
This is a "Puzzling Predicament"!
How many stamped images do you see?
