This Saturday is World Cardmaking Day!!! I'll be online demonstrating in two separate ONLINE "LIVE" events...this is one of them at 3:30pm EST.

Creative Cynchronicity's "World Card Making Day" is a two-day event that includes online live streaming craft demos and giveaways benefiting the Charity Wings Art Center on Saturday, October 6th from 12 noon to 5pm EST -and- Sunday, October 7th from 12 noon to 8pm EST.

"I'll Have a Blue Christmas Without You..." Unscripted Sketches #178

I need to take a breather after the whirlwind of Halloween over the past week... but rest assured... Christmas cards were still created - even one with a SPOOKY Twist {CLICK HERE to view}. Here's my latest card - a vintage beauty in blue for this week's Sketch-it Saturday with Unscripted Sketches Sketch #178.

This simple card is created using a vintage beauty from "Lovely Winter Blue Girls AP-2045" digital collage sheet from AlteredPages.com. This image has the sentiment included, so there's not much to be done. I added some pearly photo corners to the top and added some beautiful ribbons to  tie everything together.

**A TIP** I used a matte cut out of vellum to create a faux polaroid look. This is one of my favorite ways to highlight a photo. I distressed the edges with sandpaper and creamy brown chalk ink.

I created a base card out of a glittery blue snowflake paper from a DCWV Holiday stack. It's the perfect finishing touch and added the right amount of sparkle, too.

What is Sketch it Saturdays at Unscripted Sketches? Every Saturday morning a new sketch is posted for the week. Flip the sketch, rotate it… create a card, a scrapbook page, a wall hanging, digital, paper, fabric, paint, anything your imagination comes up with! There is no right or wrong way, as long as you are using the Unscripted sketch as the inspiration for your creation! And everyone is invited to join in the fun...and post your creation on their page for all the world to see!
