A Very Busy and Creative Christmas in July...
a Project Round-up...

Christmas in July has come to a close...I just love creating alongside the elves and sugarplum fairies! I continue my challenge to create Christmas all year for my weekly Unscripted Sketches projects - but during July - the holiday magic spilled over into most every project. Please enjoy this recap of my recent holiday creations....

My new favorite stamp from Viva Las Vegastamps! is "Deer on Ball Fir" is so regal and beautiful! I used Ranger Distress Inks and a watercolor stamping technique on Kromecote cardstock to create this background. To see the how-to please CLICK HERE.

I also used the same stamp for Sketch it Saturday with Unscripted Sketches #168 and a piggyback challenge to use an animal as part of the design. I wouldn't normally use an animal print for holiday theme - but with the monochromatic coloring in greens...it works!

You can't forget about the baking and homemade Christmas cookies... I set out to create my own cookie espresso cup using my Amazing Mold Putty. CLICK HERE to see how I made this.

My husband {AKA in-house barista} made me an espresso to fill my cup...it was "SWEET Success" and I enjoyed eating this crafty creation!

Forest green and brick red adorn this traditional card using Sketch-It Saturday with Unscripted Sketches #169 featuring vintage images from AlteredPages.com. I just love Jolly St. Nick peeking in the window of this snowy scene.

With cards and cookies completed, I moved on to making some Christmas ornaments made using Altered Pages Digital Collage Sheets and some inexpensive cookie cutters. Each shape takes on it's own personality when embellished with some pretty ribbon and garland trim - the possibilities are endless.

And one last ornament I created using an assortment of supplies: stamping, scoring tool, die cut shapes, and assorted Sakura Hobby Crafts products to create this beautiful rondela. I think this might be a prototype for the handmade ornaments I make for my Grandmother to give to her painting students this year. CLICK HERE to see the how-to for this project.

I am so excited for a new month to be here...a fresh start and some exciting things are on the horizon...AND I will be hosting a very special event this month that I will announce tomorrow. Thanks to all of you for following my creative adventures and for your comments and encouragement, too. Have a wonderfully creative day! Sb
