Tattered Floral Headband... with a Vintage Cast Bezel and Just a Touch of Pink

Hi everyone! Have you seen the new Summer Issue of PaperHaus Magazine! My apologies but I need to gush a little... I am so excited!!! My tattered floral headband is featured as part of the Amazing Crafting Products Ad that appears in this new issue of PaperHaus. The flower is made from a bunch die cut vintage lace, tulle muslin, and burlap - topped off with a resin cast duplicate of a vintage glass drawer pull bezel. All wired to a simple gold fabric headband from the Dollar Tree {my favorite guilty pleasure}. I get so many compliments when I wear this, people are surprised to hear that I made it.

I'm so thrilled to be the new Creative Team Coordinator for Amazing Crafting Products and so proud that my entire creative team is featured on this Amazing Crafting Products Ad.

This flower is so gorgeous with layers of vintage lace dress detailing, tulle, burlap and muslin fabric flowers grunged up with Ranger Ink Adirondack Paint Daubers and Antique Linen Distress Stain. I added just a touch of steampunk flair by attaching a cast vintage bezel using Amazing Casting Resin colored with Alumilite Pearlescent and Silver Metallic Powders. The lace detailing was a bright pink, which is why the flower has a slight pink tone also - all inked to match with a little paint to tone down the pink and a little ink to add some pink to the layers. For an "all things purple" girl... I really LOVE this!

Be sure to check out the PaperHaus "Summer Delight" event - its all about fun summer days filled with scrapbooking and crafting! Everyday in June on the PaperHaus Blog, there will be amazing inspiration and tutorials.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!  Sb  :)
