It's a #Creatime CELEBRATION for Everyone... Join in the FIFTH YEAR of FUN #ICAD2015

June first marks the beginning of a Cre8time CELEBRATION for everyone to participate in... ICAD 2015! The 5th Anniversary Art Party starts June 1st and I am certainly playing along - and you can too!

What on earth is ICAD?

Starting June 1st - Create something on a 3" x 5" index card every day for 61 days. On the back of each card, add a number to keep track of your progress. ICAD #1, #2, etc. Whatever day you start, it is your own official ICAD #1.

Motto: You do not need to catch up, just start...

just Play. Just make some Cre8time for yourself -
whether it's 5 minutes, 30 minutes or an hour!

You can play along too - visit ICAD for all the details!

When you receive a creative gift like this... of course it's got to be collaged onto an index card. This community magazine cover is a perfect visual for the Cre8time celebration beginning with ICAD2015. I have spent the past several months focusing on health issues which has left my creative mojo a bit depleted. I'm excited to get started and see where this adventure takes me!

With a glue stick and some scissors, I glued this to a blank index card and wrapped edges around the backside. I cut two strips off the scraps and layered over the happy new year and wrote my text with a layering of Faber-Castell PITT pens and Sakura of America Gelly Roll White Soufflé pen. I accented all the fireworks bursts with a little bling... my favorite Gelly Roll Stardust Hologram pen.

I hope you join in and play along. Everyone needs a little Cre8time in their lives! Have a great day! :) Sb

Who Cut the CAKE at the #Stamping Party...

I had a fun time making this real snarky birthday card last week for my sister using Viva Las VegaStamps! for the "C is for Cake" challenge over at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers {CLICK HERE to see my card from last week}.

While on this sugar high from all the CAKE... I had a little more rubber inspiration that I just had to get out of my head! Woe is a stampers life - LOL! So I made a couple CAS cards on white card blanks with black ink, markers and a bit of stamping/fussy cutting on bright colored papers. Enjoy!

"Hurry or the Party might be over..."

I have a bunch of birthday themed stamps in a baggie. It never dawned on my until this challenge - the combination just seems so right... or is this so WRONG - teeheehee!

I added some quick POPs of color to the hats and balloons by stamping onto bright colorful cardstock and fussy cut the pieces. A glue pen makes quick work of attaching small pieces.

The party streamer stamp was in a really light blue and I went over with my gelly stardust pen, the scanner couldn't even pick it up as its like a watermark. I fussy cut the cake to overlay onto three strips of washi tape - one stamped with the sentiment. **A TIP** Stamp on the washi tape before layering.

Do You LOVE to STAMP??!
The party is almost over
with the current team
and the call is OPEN!

Thanks so much for dropping by! I'm going to apply to keep my inky post at VLVS!... what about you?? Are you a fellow rubber addict? Here's your chance to join the design team {CLICK HERE for details} and stamp til' your hearts content! GO FOR IT!!!  :) Sb

Congratulations from the #Cre8time Garden... CHA Paper Arts+ Blog Hop

Hello friends! Today I am bringing you a special project from the garden at Little B® for the CHA Paper Arts+ Blog Hop. I was thrilled to be invited to design a special project for the upcoming summer show - for this project I was challenged to create something using an assortment of gorgeous and easy to assemble paper flowers and dimensional embellishments from Little B® LLC

Check back all week long to play along to win prizes and see sneak peeks of the latest and greatest from CHA Paper Arts+ Exhibitors and CHA Designer projects.

This basket of paper blooms will be perfect to accompany a gift card for saying congratulations to the Graduate, new Mother or job promotion! My floral bouquet is nestled in a handmade basket made of recycled chipboard, embellished with "The Sweet Life" Hot Off the Press patterned paper, Little B® LLC Black Corrogate adhesive borders and Little B® LLC "Cherry Blossoms" decorative tape. The center is filled with pink recycled packing peanuts and recycled paper crinkle filler. All I need is to add a little card to complete the gift and this bouquet can be enjoyed for the entire summer season {or more}.

The best part about this project is that it will be traveling to be on display at the CHA Paper Arts+ Show July 21-23 in Chicago... so make sure you check it out there are many handmade touches that make ready-to-assemble flowers come to life.

You can WIN $500!

Follow the CHA Paper Arts+ Blog Hop all week on the CHA Blog for updates on new designer blog posts and projects. There will be a “password” at the end of each designer blog post.
