Who's ready for a two-some???
Time to share another Christmas card using Unscripted Sketches Sketch #176 and the "GRINCH is IN"!!! Yes, I am still going strong with the Christmas cards every week and the home stretch is near. This card is created so easily using leftover scraps from my previous "Who-li-day" creations and one sticker of the green man himself. It doesn't take much to make a card that is fun and festive.
The second card is a Birthday Card full of vintage flair to fulfill this week's PIGGYBACK CHALLENGE! I whipped up this card using a few new things I recently purchased from AlteredPages.com. The frame is die cut using the Genius die cutting plate system. It's so nice - the base plate is magnetic to help keep dies from moving around when cutting. The background paper is from Glitz "Pretty in Pink" paper pack and is embossed using an embossing folder. The scalloped border is hand-cut from a sheet of striped patterned paper from the Glitz "Happy Travels" paper pack. My festive girl is from AP-1964 Little Sweeties and the sentiment is from AP-3000 Kit Words digital collage sheet.

**A TIP** You can cut apart pretty gem flourishes to fit your design -OR- to use as individual gems. I cut apart the flourish to fit around my sentiment and peeking through the window my little clown beauty.
If you haven’t played along with Unscripted Sketches before on a piggyback week, it is simply an additional, optional challenge. This month’s piggyback challenge is to USE YOUR CARD! I know how we all love to make cards just for the fun of it, but this time, the challenge is to actually send/give it to some one. I guess I was having creative ESP...because for this piggyback challenge, I made a birthday card...and sure enough - my husband comes up and asks me for one. So this beauty is already off in the mail to his sister. Mission accomplished...times TWO!!!
What is Sketch it Saturdays at Unscripted Sketches? Every Saturday morning a new sketch is posted for the week. Flip the sketch, rotate it… create a card, a scrapbook page, a wall hanging, digital, paper, fabric, paint, anything your imagination comes up with! There is no right or wrong way, as long as you are using the Unscripted sketch as the inspiration for your creation! And everyone is invited to join in the fun...and post your creation on their page for all the world to see!
Only two days until the next "Sketch-It Saturday"!! The ABAC Challenge Blog debuted a new challenge of "TEXTURE" this week and this Sunday, my texture project will be featured!!! Please drop by tomorrow and check it out! CLICK HERE to go to ABAC.
Have a terrific Thursday! : ) Sb
