Anything But a Card Challenge #2...TEXTURE

It's week number two for the NEW challenge blog "ANYTHING BUT A CARD"!!! I want to send out a GINORMOUS thank you all who played along with our first challenge...all 150 of you! We are so thrilled that you all have made this a huge success. Our players are so wonderfully talented and I'm learning so many new things and making many new creative friends in blog land!

So how about Challenge Number TWO???

Today begins a new challenge... AND there's two weeks to play along and link up via inlinkz froggy. ABAC is a bi-weekly challenge and today, the Design Team showcases NEW projects using a brand-new challenge of using "TEXTURE". Please click here to head on over to ABAC and see all the fantastic projects shared by the fantastic design team AND submissions by all of you. I will have a project featured next Sunday for week two of the challenge. To see my video how-to on the background above and two other cool textural techniques please CLICK HERE.

REMEMBER this challenge blog is ANYTHING and EVERYTHING... except for Cards.

Anything But a Card Challenge 2 is TEXTURE!

For this challenge please incoporoate TEXTURE into your project. It can be thru fibers, fabric, canvas, burlap, embossing, corrugated paper, multiple layers, ribbon flowers, 3-D rolled flowers, thread, twine, buttons, gems, etc. Just so long as it's not a completely smooth project it should work!

For me - this makes me want to tear up papers, crumple and sand them...the distressed look gives so much texture!

The Lovely "LOLA". This stamped faux photo is created using Sombrero Lady #8990 and barbed wire fence #14021 stamps from Viva Las Vegastamps! She is hand-colored/accented with Ranger distress markers painted on using a water brush and sealed with a REAL KISS using a widely used and unconventional artist method...using the tools you were born with! I colored my lips with the distress marker and puckered up! I bet T!M never envisioned this kind of product testing. I'm happy to report the color is NON-TOXIC as labeled and the color long-lasting.

I hope you are inspired to play along and I can't see what you create! Have a fantastic day! :) Sb
