Happy Wednesday! I have a featured project today over at the Sakura Hobby Craft Blog - this time an Art Journal page.
I'm finding that the more I create...the more I need to create. Over the years, I have accumulated quite a collection of inspirational quotes. So I have decided to have some play time and start an Art Journal. Today will be my first entry and the quote I am using is "YES I CAN."
Thanks to my long time mixed media art friend Belinda Spiwak for the inspiration in a goody box I got from her quite some time ago. I've finally dug these goodies out and this blank journal is the perfect place for artful musings! **TIP** I highly recommend purchasing crafty stash boxes from your artist friends....it's so fun to work with the interesting goodies other artists : )

I begin with a brand new unused blank journal and Donna Salazar Designer Embellies Paper Dolls from Want2Scrap, along with some other crafty goodness and I start to collage. The pages are black so as my base, I glued down a vintage sheet music book page from AlteredPages.com primed with a gesso/acrylic mixture.
This page will be the first of my new creative inspiration art journal. I plan to fill the entire book with my favorite quotes and colorful inspiring art.
